Alibuilding executes the concreting of the slab with more than 2,500 cubic meters of concrete and 215 tons of steel to support the first post-coronavirus skyscraper in Benidorm

The general director of Alibuilding, José Antonio Izquierdo, affirms that “the skyscrapers return to Benidorm” at the hands of his Benidorm Beach promotion in Playa de Poniente

The 1.80 meter high slab will support the 36 heights of the building with the community pool on the 26th floor

Alicante, 11th of June.- The city of Benidorm once again sees skyscrapers grow in its municipal area at the hands of the developer Alibuilding, belonging to Aligrupo, which is building its residential Benidorm Beach in Playa de Poniente. The Alicante developer has carried out the concreting process of the 1.80 meter high slab made up of more than 215 tons of steel and which has required more than 2,500 cubic meters of concrete spread over an area of ​​1,400 square meters, necessary for support the construction of the planned 36-story building.

The general director of Alibuilding, José Antonio Izquierdo, considers that “we have completed a milestone in the construction of one of our jewels within the promotions that we are developing on the Costa Blanca and Madrid. It is an exceptional element, a spectacular engineering work that exceeds the dimensions of the most common constructions and that has required a complex process of coordination of many work teams, and that we have carried out with success, work that the construction company ECISA has developed ".

The foundation slab is the platform that distributes all the loads generated by the building on the ground, said Izquierdo, whose construction required 300 concrete mixer trucks during a day.

Benidorm Beach is designed to rise 36 heights, which allows the market to offer 196 homes in a complex of high quality and that “reopens in the post-coronavirus era the construction of skyscrapers, a way of building that has made Benidorm an icon of the tourist cities in the world with one of the skylines recognized around the globe for its tall buildings, which for a time were no longer being built. With this work, the skyscrapers return to Benidorm ”, commented the head of Alibuilding.

Benidorm Beach will have 36 floors, a ground floor and two basements, which has required this type of exceptional structures. The building of the developer Alibuilding will have a 60-square-meter community pool on the 26th floor, which will make it the highest residential pool in Spain. On the top floor, the 27th, will be the wellness area and the gym for all owners.

The building consists of two vertical communication nuclei, each of them served by three elevators. These are the most modern lifts to serve a maximum of 13 people, with dimensions greater than conventional lifts in door width, cabin height and speed. Designed to facilitate operations such as the furnishing of homes and to reduce waiting time as much as possible. The community offer is completed with an outdoor area at the foot of the chill-out building, two outdoor swimming pools, as well as a children's play area and sports spaces for paddle tennis.
